My final project as a marketing intern at RPM Freight Systems was to create a brand book for their vehicle transportation service, RPM Moves. This experience was similar to design systems I had previously made, although the presentation of it was on a larger scale.

RPM Moves Brand Guidelines

The icons used in the Brand Book were designed by Niceshit Studio for RPM’s previous transportation service, Carvaygo. The RPM Logo itself is more heavily featured on these designs due to its closer association.

Inspiration

The initial sketch laid out the contents of the brandbook as well as repeating design motifs that I could incorporate. The first draft was done in Illustrator and it was organized but a bit bland. The final draft was done in Indesign, resulting in more defined margins and uniform page numbers. An orange stripe, a white rpm logo and the parallelogram from the RPM Moves logo were chosen as motifs. New photos of vehicle haulers were also added.

Process

The final was very similar to the last draft. The only real differences were the dividers set up between pages 2-3 and 12-13. The touching photos and the spread without a blue design element just felt wrong so I promptly fixed that.
