When I was hired by Jeffrey Beers International, their founder and CEO, Jeffrey Beers, had recently passed. To commemorate him, the company planned a Celebration of Life. I was put in charge of creating email blasts and pamphlets for the event.

I was given five photos of Jeffrey to make iterations of and was also informed of his Pinterest, which had a sailing folder due to that being his favorite hobby. the main color used was JBI Blue, a very specific tone of navy.
Inspiration
The first five iterations utilized the JBI Blue. This color pallet was dropped for black and white with a gradient behind the text. Many adjustments were made to the type, image, and gradient color. The clear portrait was used for the regular invite, and a sailing portrait was used for the VIP invite.
process
The email blasts used a black gradient, light and bold text, and well-framed black-and-white portraits. The pamphlets were created by using the same photos and JBI Blue. It consists of a timeline, special thanks, a summary of his accomplishments, two maps, and the chapters of his event.
